Ethnic German Repatriates
You would like to come to Germany as an ethnic German repatriate. What requirements do you have to comply with? What are the first steps to be dealt with? In the following sections you can find information on this and how you can become integrated quickly.

Ethnic German repatriates are German nationals from the successor states of the former Soviet Union and the other former Eastern-European states, who are justified in staying in Germany due to a special admission procedure.
The admission of persons, who even today are still affected by the outcome of the Second World War and its adverse effects, is regulated in the Federal Law on Expelled Persons (Bundesvertriebenengesetz = BVFG).
